June 10th, Country Club Plaza

The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City is hosting their annual Dog-n-Jog which is Kansas City's largest dog run/walk and one of the regions largest as well. The event features The Dogs' Spot providing agility demonstrations and workshops. The event also includes a two and one-mile run and a two and one-mile walk. The second Wednesday of each month

Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens for Pets sponsors a Pet Grief Recovery Group open to anyone grieving or trying to prepare for the death of an animal companion. The goal is to aid in the grief recovery process by allowing people to talk about the pain of this unique loss with others who understand how they feel. The Group meets at Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens for Pets on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8:00 pm.

The first and third Monday of each month  

For those mourning the loss of a pet, preparing for the loss of a pet or would like to help someone grieving the loss of a pet, there is a Pet Grief Support Group that meets on the first & third Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. in the Heritage Room of the Unity Temple on the Plaza, 707 W. 47th Street, Kansas City, MO.
